Originally from the South of England, I now live in Co. Wicklow and work in Dublin. I started my career in advertising in London before moving to Dublin in 1979; the intended six months stay is now well into its fourth decade.
After working in several advertising agencies, I was a freelance graphic designer and illustrator before leaving the commercial sector altogether. I now express myself visually through photography.
Cinn Mhara, meaning "head of the sea" is a sea port village located on the southern side of Galway Bay. The Great Famine in the 1840s and a series of emigrations that continued up until the 1960s reduced the population – once a thriving port – to no more than a few hundred people. But since the 1980s the population has started to increase.
