Born and based in Galway. I've a taste for solitude and adventure (mountaineering and cycle touring), and can often be found (or, not found) in Ireland's wilder places... and further afield. I've an architectural background, an inquisitive mind, and an appetite for the unusual.
Mythic shapes in the sky... from Knocknahillion in the Maumturks; looking southwest to the hills and lakes of south Connemara. The Maumturks are a mountain range lying just east of their more famous neighbours, the Twelve Bens, and stretching from Maam Cross to Leenaun. Visible in this photo are (from left to right) Lissoughter, Cashel Hill (distant), Errisbeg (distant, at Roundstone), and, in the Twelve Bens, Derryclare and Bengower (peeping up).
