Brahmotsavam is a religious festival celebrated annually at many Vaishnavite temples. Tiruvallikeni Parthasarathy Perumal Temple celebrates this in the tamil month of Chithirai (April-May). This is a dedicated to Lord Krishna is worshiped in the form he took as a charioteer of Arjuna in the Mahabharata war. Partha is Arjuna's name and Sarathy means Charioteer. Parthasarathy translates to Arjuna's Charioteer. This is a temple built in the 8th century by the Pallavas and forms one of the 108 Divyadesams.
