My interest in photography began about 6 years ago and it still continues to to be my passion today. I have had many images published in tourist magazines, books, internet tourist guides, calendars along with commissioned work. I have also won The Irish Meteorological Society Photography competition 2010 with my image of the McGillycuddy Reeks and finished runner-up in 2011 The Irish landscape is always changing its colour and light due to our mild climate and I try to capture this on my travels around the countryside.

This shot was taken on the outskirts of Ballinasloe, Co. Galway. I liked the way the tracks lead the eye to the main subjecy - an old oak tree that lookes like it was a conductor of an orchestra of lesser trees.
