Originally from the South of England, I now live in Co. Wicklow and work in Dublin. I started my career in advertising in London before moving to Dublin in 1979; the intended six months stay is now well into its fourth decade.
After working in several advertising agencies, I was a freelance graphic designer and illustrator before leaving the commercial sector altogether. I now express myself visually through photography.

East of Carrigaholt on the road to Kilbaha. Perhaps the village name, Cross is derived from a cross related to the old church of Killballyowen. More prosaic and probably more likely is that the village is named after a once important road crossing as Cross is located in the centre of the Loop Head Peninsula. The church is a ruin, replaced by a modern building down the road, but the old churchyard is still used.
