Originally from the South of England, I now live in Co. Wicklow and work in Dublin. I started my career in advertising in London before moving to Dublin in 1979; the intended six months stay is now well into its fourth decade.
After working in several advertising agencies, I was a freelance graphic designer and illustrator before leaving the commercial sector altogether. I now express myself visually through photography.
On the edge of a brutal world, it was built by Normans as a defence against the Irish, who still managed to overrun it in 1301. They in turn were dispossessed in 1534 when it came under the control of the English crown. Its final destruction happened in 1580.
